Some people, when they go overseas, think they ought to get photographs of unusual ethnic cultural practices, stunning scenery, mouthwatering delicacies, or exquisite fashions. Me? I see interesting blips whizz by the window, and I'm hooked.
When my Uncle took us to the "Grand Canyon of the Pacific", the "Blowhole", and various other amazing tourist sites, he found me snapping shots of the gulls nesting on the craggy cliffs or the Myna birds perching on the reeds across the canyon. I can't remember what the meal was that day, charmed by the sparrow that flitted so close by and finding it hard to swallow to see the handsome rooster strutting around free .The pier? I never even walked to the end, I was fascinated by the bright red-headed bird that came and scooped seeds off the ground nearby as if to pose for me.
On the way to the Kauai airport, I took a "Tourist-y Photograph". My cousin shouted that he saw the Nene, the State Bird, from the car. So I got a picture of it. See? I have proof that I traveled to Hawaii!
