BABY SPARROW AND RAIN

Rain. The other day, I saw the forecast said it would start around 3 p.m., so I went to the park earlier and tried to head home before it got started. And you saw my post about the Kogera in the tree.

I thought I'd try the same thing yesterday--make my park visit beat the shower again. But nothin' doing. Precipitation started Friday evening and didn't let up most of the day Sat....and it's COLLLLD too! Rain? Hey...this is the perfect time for those sketches from 2021!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I could picture, curled up on a wet twig a baby sparrow, commiserating, "I hate rain!"

But that same chick, a few weeks later, on a scorchingly hot day, is delighted when a human neighbor watering her flowers with a garden hose, sends her a squirt. Dancing in the refreshing spray, she squeals, "I love rain!"

Do I hate the stuff God lets me have--really? Maybe there's a reason I'm supposed to give thanks for everything, even the rain. It may look different later.
