I went back to the park this afternoon, and when I peered across the pond, guess who was there? Alabaster the egret!
It was as if she said, "I know you didn't draw me the last time ("Godliness with Contentment" post, Dec. 22, 2022); you want to try today? I can't stay around through the freezing winter, but God is keeping it warm a little longer."
She didn't mention it, but I think she knew the first time I saw her, I ended up ruining my drawing.
I am so glad God gives us second chances, aren't you?
Side note: The egret's name Alabaster is not only the Soft and Luminescent White stone many sculptures are often made of, but also the substance used for the box Mary broke to pour out her expensive Spikenard perfume for the Lord Jesus, Whom she so adored.
