God keeps track of His own

Well, I went to the doctor's this afternoon, and on the way back, I stopped by the park. Yes, I went to the pond to draw the mallard I didn't draw the other day because it was too cold. Here's Junior with his dad (to be real honest, I can't tell them apart any more!) I call them "Junior" and "Senior". The way I know it's Junior for sure is when he goes off swimming with Maggie, the female mallard his age.

The carp swimming nearby is Kiss, one of the newer additions to the pond. I couldn't draw it very well, but she has a mark that looks like a smack was planted on her forehead.

I'm sure the Creator has no problem telling apart a child mallard from its parent...and if He wanted to, I'm sure He could plant marks of His love on any one of His creations. My mother used to tell me sometimes He gives homeing beacons to a few of His own too, and we would be foolish to resent it, try to improve on it, or cover it up.

Oh--my doctor's office visit is because of one of those marks, I guess. I was born with epilepsy and need medicine to keep seizures under control. Stay close to me, God seems to say.
