I had taken this photo for a reference to sketch it, but the activity that followed made everything blend into such a blur I forgot all about it.
That first evening, Joyce picked me up at the Naha airport and brought me back home. I found out prayer meeting that week had been cancelled due to the funeral activities we'd be having, so I could participate in MCC's online meeting that night!
I took the laptop upstairs; Joyce helped me find the password to get online; I proudly introduced her to the MCC crowd; and was able to spend time with them in what I so treasured and thought I'd have to do without for awhile!
Oh--that's the kitchen table the laptop is on, so what you're seeing there is the blue-framed photographs on that wall, with purple flowers around them.
