THE WEEK BEFORE CHRISTMAS

Keima tested positive for COVID after all so will be home for about a week. His fever broke Mon. and is feeling fine tho', so it's like God has given him a week's vacation! (He's wearing a mask and playing computer games.) Please pray he get completely rested and, of course, "all better" before he goes back to work.

I went to the park this afternoon. I wasn't planning on doing any sketching today, but the pretty blue Kawasemi came and I had to draw him. A little boy nearby saw and seemed to talk to me like a grown-up.

I was crouching and fell over, I'm not really sure if it's because I lost my balance or it was because I was a little surprised at the way he was talking.

Anyway, when I told the Kawasemi about my son, he seemed to inspire me to write the following jingle:

"'Twas the week before Christmas, and all through the house,

Not an insect was stirring, not even a louse.

They were scared to come out. They did not dare;

Word had got out, COVID hung in the air."
